Cookies Policy
What this policy covers
This page explains what deFITnitive stores on your device when you use this site (defitnitive.com), what each item does, and which choices you control. It complements the Privacy Policy, which covers everything we do with personal data.
What we store without asking
Some entries are strictly necessary to run the site, so they do not need consent:
- Sign-in session: Firebase Authentication keeps your session on your device so you stay signed in between visits.
- Language preference: your EN/ES choice is stored locally so the site can respect it.
- Your cookie choice: the answer you give in the consent banner is stored locally so we do not ask you again on every page.
- Campaign origin: if you arrive through an ad or campaign link, we keep its tags (like
utm_campaign) locally and, if you sign up, on your account, so we can credit that campaign for your sign-up. The tags stay with us. The Meta click id in that record is sent to Meta only as part of the advertising events below, and only if you accepted advertising cookies. - Anti-abuse verification: Google reCAPTCHA sets the
_GRECAPTCHAcookie for the sole purpose of telling real people from bots; see “Anti-abuse verification (reCAPTCHA)” in the Privacy Policy.
Analytics without cookies
Our product analytics run in cookieless mode: they store nothing on your device. Your training and your camera stay on your device, always.
Advertising cookies, only with your consent
The first time you visit, a banner asks whether we can use advertising cookies. Nothing advertising-related is stored or sent until you answer.
- If you accept, the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited) sets the
_fbpcookie, and the_fbccookie when you arrive from a Meta ad, to measure the performance and attribution of our Meta ad campaigns, understand whether those ads lead to meaningful use of deFITnitive, and optimize those campaigns. With that same consent, events about your use of deFITnitive are also confirmed server to server through Meta's Conversions API: your email address and account id travel only as hashes, and each event also carries technical information about your device and browser, including your IP address, an identifier that keeps the same event from being counted twice, and those same Meta advertising identifiers for your browser and for the ad you clicked, so Meta can tie those events to that ad. - If you decline, the Meta script is never even loaded from Meta's servers: no advertising cookie is set and nothing is sent to Meta. The site works exactly the same.

Changing your mind
Your choice is yours to change at any time: delete this site's cookies and site data in your browser and the banner will ask again on your next visit. Your new answer replaces the old one on your device and on your account: answering “No thanks” stops all future advertising cookies and server events from that moment. Until you answer the banner again, your most recent recorded choice stays in effect. You can also block cookies entirely in your browser settings. Withdrawing consent does not undo what was sent while it was active.
Changes and contact
If we add or remove cookies, this page and, where needed, the consent banner will be updated before the change goes live. Questions: hola@somnigamestudios.com.
